A licensed Professional Civil Engineer in Oregon, William “Bill” Brannan has 16 years of construction and engineering experience.  In his role as senior project manager and project engineer-of-record, Bill is responsible for project design as well as management of the HDG team to develop accurate and complete construction documents.  Bill is responsible for coordination with clients and specification writing and frequently performs construction observation duties in close coordination with the contractor.  He is also a member of the firm’s management team.

Having developed plans in jurisdictions throughout Oregon and Washington, Bill is experienced at providing designs that meet various local and federal jurisdictional requirements including NOAA Slopes V, SWPPP, DEQ 1200C, ADA, and others.  He has strong expertise in complicated existing pre-built environments, and he understands the importance of working toward realistic solutions that balance the required program with construction costs.  In addition to low-income and market rate apartments, Bill specializes in large complex projects, rehabilitation, green field development, campus settings, and industrial sites.

Bill’s previous experience includes six years working in construction management and engineering for clients such as Intel, WaferTech, and GE Power fabricating complex piping and structural systems.  This construction background, combined with his civil engineering expertise, makes him adept at brainstorming solutions to various engineering problems.

Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Portland State University and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.  He was honored to be appointed to the Clackamas County Design Review Commission by the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners in 2016.
